The latter was a series of shows regularly broadcast on NTS Radio & Resonance FM, representing Rough Trade, and seeing in the launch of Rough Trade Radio, presenting & producing its first shows. As well as pimping vinyl for many years, in many places, BobaFatt compiled Rough Trade's first and only Hip Hop compilation CD in 2015.
Every Sunday night, for over a 100 shows, BobaFatt has hosted 'The Sunday Scenario' on Itch FM (the UK's only dedicated Hip Hop station). In recent times, he's featured as a guest DJ on Huey Morgan's BBC Radio 6 show too, along with providing mixes/words featured in Who Sampled.
Along with the countless mixtapes produced, BobaFatt has provided mixes for Coldcut's legendary Solid Steel, cult soundtrack label Death Waltz, features for The Guardian, Dazed & Confused, i-D, Decoded, Fact, Honest London, Fact & Noisey, and done a lil' session work featuring on records such as DJ Yoda's debut album, Soul II Soul's MC Chickaboo & Roots Manuva's label, Banana Klan. He produced an album, 'Sin Happy Vacationists - 10x10' in 2005, with Makoshark (Stabilizer) & MC Figure of Speech, which was unearthed on Bandcamp a decade later in 2015.
During a 10-year residency at Moles Club in Bath, he founded the city's longest-running Hip Hop night, StoneGruve Social. Over the years he's found himself warming up for DJ Jazzy Jeff, KRS One, EPMD, The Pharcyde, Jay Electronica, Mos Def, Ali Shaheed (Tribe Called Quest), Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), M.O.P, Just Blaze, Lord Finesse, Dead Prez, Jalal Nurudin (The Last Poets), Daedelus, DJ Krush, DJ Kentaro, Kid Koala, The Alchemist, and numerous UK all-stars such as Scratch Perverts, Foreign Beggars, Ghetts, The Mouse Outfit, Rodney P, Jehst, The Herbaliser & Beardyman, to name a few, as well as playing sets alongside such luminaries as The Nextmen & Mr Thing.
Outside of Hip Hop, BobaFatt has shared stages with literally 1,000s of acts across genres. To name but a few; Tinariwen, Happy Mondays, Bonobo, LTJ Bukem, Idris Elba, Badbadnotgood, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gabrielle, Mala, Gilles Peterson, Roni Size, Fatima, Chase & Status, Quantic, The Bug, Jazzanova, dBridge, King Britt, Ray Keith, Gonjasufi, Harleighblu, Gentlemans Dub Club, Nosaj Thing, Om Unit, Polar Bear, Jaga Jazzist, Nice Up! and his old homeboys, The Heavy. That doesn't include festival appearances; in 2016 playing straight after Norman Jay in a Pontins chalet at the first Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender, performing the closing set in The Common at Glastonbury Festival, debuting at Boomtown Festival, and spending five consecutive years as a resident at Soundwave Festival in Tisno, Croatia.
As well as being a regular DJ for one of London's largest eclectic promoters, Soundcrash, he has residencies at Big Chill and Bussey Buildings, and has rocked parties for almost a decade as 50% of Main Squeeze with DJ Mo Fingaz. Additionally, he currently works for record labels such as First Word and R&S.
He has spun at countless spots all over the UK; firstly from a bedroom in Basingstoke, to bars, boats & basements in Bath & Bristol, and an array of London establishments, such as Ministry of Sound, Brixton Academy, Fabric, Koko, The Roundhouse, Somerset House, The Forum, The Jazz Cafe & the Natural History Museum.
